- No firing on the range required*
* Refresher Class - Even though Iowa law does not require firing on a live range, we strongly encourage you to do so. The range firing is not a competition event and is open to individuals of all skill levels. Whether you are a novice or an expert, carrying a concealed weapon is a serious responsibility and practice is vital to honing your skills!

- 5 yards
- 7 yards
- 9 yards
Equipment needed for the CCW Range Qualification
- Any centerfire handgun
- 36 rounds of factory ammunition
- Ear and eye protection *eyeglasses are acceptable
